The girl stood staring at a shop window rain falling about her unnoticed for it was blocked by a multicolored, polka dotted umbrella. Inside were various trinkets, do-dads, and thinga-majigs that just screamed to be bought. It was a weakness of hers, collecting random things that were pointless and had no useful value. Maybe it was because she tried to think logically about everything. Or maybe it was because her parents didn't believe in frivolity, not finding any use in buying her anything that could do produce something of value. Let's just say she didn't have many toys as a child even though her parents had plenty of money.
So when she was old enough she found ways to earn money to buy such things. The end result was that she was a hopeless pack rat. One certain thing caught her eye as she stared at the window, a beautifully crafted, dark blue, box covered in flowers and butterflies. It was lovely and she wanted it so badly. But with a heartfelt sigh she turned away from the window her hands gripping her shoulder bag's strap. She needed to find a way to earn money because her parents had cut her off three months ago. Right after her stash of trinkets. They were convinced she had stolen them, and as punishment no money.
Head down she walked away from the store too centered on her thoughts to bother looking where she was going. That's when she smacked right into some stranger nearly sending her crashing to the sidewalk. "Oooph!" Her umbrella fell from her hands as she waved her arms trying to catch herself from falling. Once righted she blushed looking to the stranger. "I'm so sorry, I should have looked where I was going."

Ryuu was walking through down town the only thing was there were many people around with all the rain coming down. He thanked himself that once in his life he decided to go and take an umbrella with him. His was just black not really that much color to it seeing that there was no point to it really. He wasn’t the kind of guy that liked to wear a lot of bright colors it just didn’t look that good on him that it would have looked better on other people. He held onto the umbrella as he walked he looked at the ground for a bit to make sure he did not step in a puddle.
That was one thing he had shoes on that he really didn’t want to get wet. Ryuu looked up at the sky and then people who were running or walking around. He says that one guy was selling umbrellas seemed like a good day to sell them. Maybe he would go get a nice come of coffee it was kind of cold out and something warm would be really nice to have in his stomach. He didn’t really drink coffee that much he drunk a lot be it never showed thank god it would suck to have people looking at him like that all the time.
As he turned the corner he felt a women body up against him he blinked to see as her unbrella fell to the ground and the he moved his arm around her waist lightly and pulled her up. He moved his umbrella so she was covered from the rain. “Its fine” he said looking at her with a small grin. Ryuu never really did smile it just wasn’t something that was in his body it just seemed there was no reason to ever smile Outfit: Wearing

She felt someone's arm around her helping to steady herself. It took her a second to realize it wasn't raining on her even though she'd dropped her umbrella. Looking up she saw the man's black one then drifted her gaze downwards. He was smiling, well if you could call it a smile, but he just didn't look happy to her. Did no one in this town look happy? But not wanting to be rude she smiled brightly back glad that she at least bumped into someone kind enough to help her and not yell at her.
"Thank you for keeping me from falling, and keeping me out of the rain." Her eyes went upwards again a warm smile still in place. Not knowing what else to say or do she backed up a bit feeling as though she was crowding him. The young girl tucked a stray hair behind her ear then noticed that she didn't see her umbrella at her feet. Eyes going wide she spotted it tumbling a few feet from her in the wind. "Oh, no! I, um, I'll be right back, sir."
Just because she had to dart away to fetch her umbrella didn't mean she had the right to be rude. So off she ran rain falling down around her as she desperately tried to snatch up her umbrella. Every time she reached down for it the wind kicked up once more only to sending it skittering in another direction. She was getting rather wet in this chase and rather frustrated.

Ryuu let go of the girl’s waist since he did not want to hold on to her if she did not want that. He watched as her embrulla went flying he wondered why he didn’t just pick up the embrella in the first place. Or maybe it he was just busy making sure that the girl did not fall he smiled to himself as he watched her run after it. The smile did not stay long on his face because he just wasn’t that kind of person who smiled a lot there were only a few people that ever really got to see him smile.
He turned and looked over at the umbrella’s that were being sold why didn’t she just buy a new one that didn’t really make sense to him but he did not really say anything about it. As he turned around and moved a cross the street, it seemed like she would be busy and it looked like he was not going to be able to talk to her. She seemed to be running after the embrella were he could have just bought her a new one.
As he walked over into the coffee shop he closed his embrella and looked down at it as it was soaking wet he kind of felt like he should have helped the girl but he really didn’t know what else he was suppose to do for her. He moved back outside and then looked around he could not see her anywhere so it seemed like the beautiful girl had gont missing. Ryuu walked back into the store and sat down. Outfit: Wearing

Finally she snatched up the umbrella and straightened lifting the metal and plastic object above her head. When she turned only to find the nice man was gone. She frowned genuinely upset over the fact that she had run off so abruptly. But she had to in order to get her umbrella back. Still he was now-wait! There he was across the street. Catching sight of him just as he entered a coffee shop. She clapped her hands together and almost dropped her umbrella yet again in the process. Her eyes darted both ways before running across the rain washed streets to the shop. The aroma coming out of the establishment was blissful, and she quickly shook off her umbrella and entered.
Once inside she looked around until she found the nice man in black. She ran up to him her face bright with an edge of sadness. "Sorry, I didn't mean to lose you there. I just had to get my umbrella, birthday present." She held up the polka dotted item with a smile. Water dripped from her hair, clothes, and eyelashes onto the floor of the coffee shop, but she didn't seem to have a care in the world. "Please, let me repay you for helping me, um, not fall."
Most people would just have moved on with their lives thinking that was rather nice of that stranger. Not Koko, in her mind ever good deed needed to be repaid, or at least acknowledged. It might be naive, childish, silly, or any other negative term but she didn't care. It was her belief and no one was going to change it. "I could buy you some coffee?" Oh, wait that almost sounded like a date, she blushed a bit, but didn't say anything. He could take it as he wanted to.

Ryuu went to go sit down in both when he heard a young women voice. He turned around to see that it was that girl from outside it was nice to see that she was ok but in other ways she was kind of wet and dripping too. He placed his embrella down and looked at the girl as he grabbed a towel from a waister and whipped her head lightly. “Here you might want to sit here the heater will be under you and don’t worry about it” he said moving her over to the seat and then sitting across from her.
“Would you like to have a cup of coffee or tea and don’t worry about it” he said looking at her with a small smile. First time in a while that he had not smiled at a girl but it was kind of a start right. “Please let me buy you a something hot to make you get warmer” he said to her he waved and waister over and asked for a cup of coffee with two milks and one sugar. The waister turned and looked at her next to see what she wanted to drink or have something to eat.
Ryuu shook his head lightly when she asked that she could buy it for her he would not let her he should have ran after her making sure that she would not get all wet. “No I will pay, please you must get something” he said to her now. Outfit: Wearing

Blinking she rolled up eyes up a bit to see that he was gently toweling her hair, and then she was suddenly sitting down. The warm air from the heater seeped into her legs and she sighed contently. "Thank you, sir." She reached up a hand to touch the towel having not noticed how soaked she actually was. He was so kind, not something she was used to in this town that was for sure. And so soft spoken too. When he smiled her face lit right up, she loved to see people smile, especially people who didn't look like they did so very often.
At his first question she nodded eagerly though she frowned slightly when he insisted on paying. She was about to protest when the waiter appeared beside their table. It would be rude to argue now wouldn't it? "Um, Masala chai please." Once the waiter left she lowered her gaze with a small smile. "I find myself thanking you once again. Is there anything I can do to repay you for your constant kindness?"
She lifted her head hands now in her lap holding the towel tightly. This was her first outing with another person besides her master, and so far it was going quite nicely. Was this man a master? Or was he a slave like herself? So many questions, but she kept her mouth closed out of politeness. Didn't want to scare off a potential friend by prying into their life. "My name is Yuko Miroshima, but you may call me Koko. Everyone else does." As usual she was smiling warmly enjoying the company and the warmth of the heater.

When she sat down he moved and took another towel this one was dry and placed over her shoulders. She didn't want the girl to get cold or anything like that. He did feel bad that she had ran after that umbrella but it was something that she had to do. Ryuu moved and sat down at the table he looked over at her and he nodded her head as to say welcome to her. "It's really ok I would hate to see that you would get a cold" he said to her.
"You like Chai, Have to say that I have tried it once but was never much of a fan when it came to Chai I guess it not my kind of drink" he said looking over at her as she smiled. She was a pretty girl and he was happy that he had met her for the rest time. "Don't worry about it, It's fine but you could tell me a little bit about yourself" she said looking at her with a smile on his face. This girl was lucky because he really never smiled infront of anyone.
"Well It's nice to meet you Yuko Miroshima but if you don't mind may I call you Yuko" he said he liked her name and was never a big fan of nice names really. "I am Ryuu Tottori" he said to her. Outfit: Wearing

She was thoroughly enjoying seeing the man's smile, and each time she saw it her expression brightened. Having a master like hers left her feeling that people didn't smile, that she was the only one who knew how. Being able to see this man smile made her heart light. He seemed like a quiet sort somewhat like her master. Both very different than her who enjoyed talking and with people like herself became very animated. In most cases she tended to take on the mood of the person or persons she was with. Other times she tried to liven the mood by acting herself, but this time she thought it best to be calm.
With on towel on her head and another on her shoulders she was actually starting to feel warm again. He was very kind and though he was serene he wasn't cold like her master was. "I only like Chai every once in a while. It's certainly not my favorite drink, but a nice warm cup of chai is nice on such a day as this." This was a nice little twist to her somewhat gloomy day. If she was lucky she'd make a new friend. The drinks arrived as he was speaking and she pulled her cup close to her. Her hands cupped the small mug trying to absorb as much warmth as she possibly could. Taking a sip she lifted her eyes she smiled again and nodded.
"Yes, of course. My mother gave it to me so it might as well be used." when he said his name her eyes brightened considerably. "What a nice name! It sounds very strong, or at least it does to me." He'd asked her to tell him a little bit about herself, but what to tell? Maybe some small generic stuff would be good to at least start off with.
"Well, you know my name. I'm seventeen and I go to the local high school. I live with my parents, with my two dogs Shai-Shai and Po-Po." She touched her mouth in thought biting on her pointer finger's nail. "I'm a slave, and my master is Rayder." There that should be a good start. "What about you? Do I get the honor of knowing something about you?"
