he said to himself as he threw the can into the trash can. Before it went in, the glare from the sun reflected off the can and shot right into David's eyes and caused a sharp reaction from him. "Damn it!" was his reaction as he turned his head to the side and closed his eyes. [/ul]

break me out tonight i wanna see the sun rising anywhere else but here come with me oh this could be the only chance we get we gotta take it we don't do it now Shiloh opened up her MacBook Air on her bed as she leaned back onto her pile of pillows. She was just going on to check her email and maybe see if she had gotten any IMs in the last hour from anyone. It was true she had been a little computer addicted lately. She wasn’t particularly pleased with the copious amount of time she was now spending on the computer but she always went on to it anyway. Recently, she had started getting a few emails from David who was asking her if she wanted to hang out soon or something like that. Every time she got an email or IM or text from him, she felt a little tickling feeling in the bottom of her stomach. She didn’t know what it was because it wasn’t like she had a thing for David. Or maybe, she did have a bit of a thing for him but she wouldn’t admit that to anyone. Besides, it wasn’t like, that big of a deal or anything. It was just a crush. She could easily beat it. She had Dominic to focus on anyway. She could do this.
Her eyes glanced over the screen and she was a little unhappy to see that she had no new messages. Her eyes shifted over to look at her clock only to notice that she had twenty minutes before she had to meet David at the mall. She would be late if she didn’t haul butt. Apparently it was too late to shower and her hair looked like a bird’s nest but she would just deal with it. He wouldn’t mind, hopefully.
Shiloh jumped off of her bed and bounded to her closet. She threw open the doors, frantically looking for a top to wear. When she didn’t see anything she liked off the bat, she spun around to face her dresser. Shiloh started opening drawers and shoving clothing items aside until she found a gray t-shirt that wouldn’t look too horrible on her. But Shiloh was always judgmental of her appearance and so she just grabbed it out of the draw and tossed it on her bed. She then went to the bottom drawer and pulled out the first pair of jean shorts that she saw. Tossing them on the bed, Shiloh then put her hands on her hips and stared out the window. She didn’t know what she was doing now. Apparently all that was left was to get dressed. Walking over to her bed, she quickly stripped off her tank top and pulled down her pj shorts and quickly slipped on her jean shorts and pulled on her t-shirt.
She proceeded to lean to the side a little bit and shake her hands through her hair, which was messy and curly. She flipped her hair back again and stood up, a little red, now, in the face. It didn’t matter though because she had to keep moving if she ever hoped to make it on time. She ran over to her already opened closet and slipped her feat into a pair of silver flip-flops. She quickly made her way over to her desk after that. On the way, she tripped over her shorts and her arms flailed as she tried to steady herself. “Way to go moron,” she muttered as she stood still at the desk. “Why not just like, kill yourself before you get there. Then it will be a really great day!” She sighed and shook her head, grabbing a pair of sunglasses, her credit card, and her cell phone. She then ran out the door and to her car.
It wasn’t long until she reached the mall. Parking in the closest spot she could find, she quickly shut her car off and unbuckled her seat belt. She started to walk casually over to the entrance where she said that she would meet David. She didn’t want to look like she was a freak or in too much of a hurry. She saw him sitting on a bench pretty close to the door. Finally reaching where he was, she stood in front of him, blocking the sun from his eyes. “Better?" she said as she smirked down at David. He looked cute today.

The boy had a bad habit of not thinking to thank others for matters of large or small degree. Many have been annoyed by this habit of his, and it sure frustrated the hell out of the teachers. "Thank you, ma'am," one of them would say as a demand for him to repeat those words to her, and he would simply stare at her blankly for a second, and shrug it off as if it was the least significant thing in the world. Deep down he felt appreciation for others when necessary, but because of the lack of practice the words "thank you" rarely escapes from his mouth. [/ul] ooc: A double chocolate chip cookie for you if you can find the sentence I stuck in here that foreshadows the final phase of your precious plot :]

break me out tonight i wanna see the sun rising anywhere else but here come with me oh this could be the only chance we get we gotta take it we don't do it now As Shiloh stood there, looking at David, she couldn’t get her thoughts in order. She was thinking that he looked really cute today and that his brown hair looked incredibly in the sunlight even though he probably hadn’t run a brush through it that day. It was unfair that girls had to look like pigs when they didn’t have time to care about their appearance. Then again, she supposed that life wasn’t fair. It just seemed that it wasn’t fair more of the time for girls than it was for boys. They just had it better off: lucky bastards.
Her eyes traveled up his body as he stood up and responded back to her about how the sun wasn’t even that bad anyway. Jerk! Didn’t he know how to say thank you? And that was exactly what she retorted to him, her voice laced with sarcasm, “Didn’t your mother ever teach you to say thank you?” She looked at him with a slightly disapproving look. He would be the one to be such an ass to her one-minute but be a perfect gentleman the next. That was just typical David and it just drove her nuts. Why couldn’t he be polite all of the time? What was so appealing about being cocky and overly confident every single day? Sometimes Shiloh just didn’t get him or guys like him in general. They just needed a major attitude adjustment or something.
She crossed her arms as she stood there, simply looking at him and pursing her lips. Shiloh shook her head and let her golden curls fall around her shoulders in a messy manner though it looked like she had styled them that way. She tilted her head to the right a little bit before continuing on to say, “So why the heck are we at the mall? Have you turned gay or something? Is this your way of telling me this because sweetie, if you really wanted me to help you go shopping,, all you had to do was ask.” She had an evil grin on her face. He wasn’t going to be nice to her she wasn’t going to be nice to him.

he began to say as she had just finished dishing out her sarcastic comment, "she did. But you didn't make it in time to save my eyes from blowing up and seeing spots, so it's not like you really did anything for me, much." Not wanting to back down from her challenge against his manners, he smirked as he threw some words back at her. When he saw her show disapproval a wide grin danced across his face, as if basking in a self-proclaimed victory not denied and unchallenged. A chuckle escaped from his lips as he stood there listening to her. "Oh no, that can't happen. You know how many girls would be disappointed? Besides," he raised both of his hands, his index fingers pointing at his face from a short distance away, "I mean just look at this!" Putting his hands down he turned to face the entrance doors. The automatic doors stood there like a guard, letting people into and out of the mall when they felt like it. Turning his head back to the side, his eyes rolled toward the outer corner to see Shiloh who was behind him. "And when I say girls, that includes you too." Almost wanting to wink, he felt that it was enough to stop there for now, so the wink was abandoned. Instead, a smirk. "But excuse me for just wanting to hang out.""By the way..." Feeling like this was the right moment to do something slightly odd, he quickly turned and walked up to her without pause and wrapped his arms around her, the two practically stuck together for the time being. His face next to her ear as he embraced her almost more than friendly, he said out loud for everyone around to hear, "Thank you Shi, for blocking out the sun for me! What would I ever do without you!" Half kidding but half serious, his voice resonated under the shade and dispersed into the air, traveling to the sky in all directions as silent waves waiting to be disintegrate as the sunlight burned through the air. Somewhat reluctant to let go, partly because he wasn't sure what Shiloh was going to do to him for pulling off a stunt like that. He could only guess at one thing, that she was flushed with embarrassment right now.[/ul] ooc: Hope this was ok

break me out tonight i wanna see the sun rising anywhere else but here come with me oh this could be the only chance we get we gotta take it we don't do it now Shiloh smirked as David laughed back at her. He wasn’t going to win this battle; he wasn’t even close. When he mentioned about how girls would be disappointed if he was gay, she couldn’t help but re-cross her arms over her chest and roll her eyes at him. Why in the world did he have to be so full of himself? It made him so unappealing to her because it made him seem like he only was there for him and his popularity and scoring with girls. He was just disgusting to her, and she couldn’t even fathom why she would be stupid enough to go spend time with him, willingly, on her own free time. It just completely confounded her that she would offer herself up to such torture. And he was hot. Damn, she was really betraying herself.
He pointed to his face, being the baby face that it was and he made some annoying comment about it and she forced herself to look at it but it wasn’t quite with pleasure that she did so. She didn’t want to look at it and feel sort of warm and fuzzy inside. She wanted to look at it and just feel like scratching it up. She, however, was not successful. She was seriously going to get on herself later about this.
Then he had the gall to start walking away, then turn around and say that she was included. Shiloh scoffed at him and her hands went to her hips. He just had such nerve and it pissed her off so much. It also turned her on but there was no way that she would ever admit to such a statement. She didn’t even have time to dwell on that statement though because he was already sounding like a drama queen again. Didn’t he ever let up? The answer would apparently be no.
There was, however, this lovely awkward pause that she was almost thankful for because her attention didn’t have to be directed at him or his body or his being or anything about him. David speaking in an obviously loud voice then coming up and hugging her for what would be an awkward amount of time cut that moment dreadfully short. It was just longer than what was socially acceptable and really just common sense and it made Shiloh feel awkward. She didn’t, however, show that she was feeling awkward. That was exactly what he wanted and there was no way in hell that she was going to give him that satisfaction. She, instead, gave him a fake meaningful look but she made sure that he could tell just how insincere she really was. After he pulled back, she walked closer to him, closing the distance a bit before smacking him on the backside of his head. Smirking at him, she retorted, “Ass.” She shook her head and continued with her fake sympathy, “It’s really a shame that no one was really around to hear that proclamation of your love for me. I mean, really, it was so touching.” Shiloh sniffed back some pretend tears and put her hand over her heart as she said, “It was just so touching.”
She broke into a fit of giggles and her hair fell forward over her shoulders a little bit as she leaned forward in the slightest. Now she was enjoying herself. And hopefully, if they could stop from biting the other’s throat out for the rest of the trip, it might turn out to be not so bad. She didn’t think that was likely. “So where do you wanna go first then superstar?”

Putting his hand up behind his head, he leaned back only slightly against the support of his palms. Grinning, he looked at Shiloh with a playful look in his eyes. Grabbing a passing man by his arm he stopped him from walking past them. The man was one of the few people around to have witnessed David's act. "It's okay, this guy heard it." At the man's request that he let go of his arm or else, David dropped his grip and shooed the man away. Not wanting to cause trouble and just submitted to his bad luck, the random bystander walked straight toward the entrance with a slightly fast pace. "I appreciate the love tap, by the way."Though the idea is rather disturbing, he enjoyed it when she would get frustrated with him in any slightest sense. The yelling and hitting made him believe that she cared enough about him to even bother with it, and there is no better feeling than knowing that someone out there cared. Sometimes the yelling could get a bit out of hand, and actually ignite his temper, and that was the part of this whole thing he did not really enjoy. When she was yelling at him just for the sake of yelling, he would lose all motives of joking around and would only retort back, adding to the soundtrack of the argument between them. Fortunately, this was one of those good times. At the sight of her giggling he couldn't help but feel a bit flushed. Suddenly he began to notice her, head to toe, and realized how cute she looked today. He wasn't going to compliment her, of course. What would she have gotten out of that if he had said it? Yet, that mesmerizing giggle lingered. "I don't really know, didn't plan that far ahead. Just figured hanging out seemed like a good idea." He raised his hand to his head and scratched the back gently, even though it wasn't itchy. He didn't know why he was doing it. "Just walk around til we find something?"[/ul]
