She shuffled through the line of the cafeteria her usual smile nowhere to be found, and her clothes quite disheveled. The food offered to her didn't even sound appealing, or even edible actually. Her eyes scanned the various trays of food, and moved on only to grab an apple and some juice. She quickly paid then limped to find a seat somewhere dumping her tray off on a cart before finding an empty table. The cafeteria was busy, noisy, and for once she didn't find it exciting or intriguing. She sat there the apple and juice sitting untouched on the table beside her. Her usually bright eyes dim and encircle with dark rings. Dressed in a baggy gray sweater, black sweat pants, and tennis shoes the girl looked far from the usual; if anyone even knew her usual.
Sighing she pulled up her knees her back up against the wall as she stared out at the other students. She hadn't made her master smile, and she'd been his slave for almost two weeks. She didn't feel like she'd learned anything about him, and had a strong feeling that he hated her. With no real friends to speak of the young Japanese girl felt oddly lonely that day. From stressing so much about classes, her master, chores for her master, and desperately trying to make him happy she constantly found herself without sleep.
Today after one of her classes she'd forgotten her book-bag only to return to the class to find it stolen. Good thing she'd kept some money in her pockets that day. Gym class had gone badly because her gym clothes along with her bag were gone, which meant points docked off for not being in uniform. Not only that but her locker had gotten jammed making her late for the class before lunch. In her rush to get to class on time she'd tripped up the stairs twisting her ankle horribly. It seemed to be a cursed day for the poor girl and she just wanted it to be over with.
A french fry flew through the air and hit her square on the head. She barely even blinked before picking up the pathetic potato product and throwing it right back. As soon as the piece of food left her hand she regretted it having never thrown food in her life. Eyes wide she watched as the fry flew through the air hitting the back of some boy's head. She bit her lip and turned bowing her head over her apple. The normal Ko-ko would've run over to apologize, but today she just didn't want to deal with anyone. So there she attempted to hide hoping the boy didn't realize it'd been her who'd thrown the fry. If he was a master she was so dead.

Calum had roared into the parking lot of the school and parked in his usual spot. The motor cycle an old classic Indian lovingly restored by his father and himself was his pride and joy. It amazed him how no one touched it at the school as if they knew he would break every bone in their worthless bodies if they tried. He had never had any trouble with masters and could even call a hand ful of them friends. Which was extremely strange indeed but he was not one of the usual slaves that begrudged his or anyone elses place in the world. Often in the beginning he had wondered why he had been chosen as a slave for he never truly felt as if he were one but then again, when he was with his mistress he gladly succumbed to her every need, whim and want.
The day dragged on and he paid about as much attention in class as he always did. He got the work done and that was enough. When break time eventually came around one of his class mates a fellow slave dragged him along to the cafeteiria wanting his opinion on a girl he had seen. Calum had laughed but had gone along anyhow. It was not every day that he ate there but he was of the firm belief that it was always good to shake up your routine every once in a while. As they sat and chatted over their disgusting fare from the dregs of the cafeteiria pots, a virtual unlucky dip for any stomach they were interupted when he was struck on the head by none other than a flying french fry. It slid down his hair and into his outstretched hand. He looked at it momentarily debating whether or not to go and make mince meat out of whoever had tossed it. Jake chuckled indicating rather pointedly who had been the source of the flying fritter before he got up to head off in search of the girl of his dreams.
Calum swivelled in his seat to look at the girl that Jake had mentioned. Holding the fry up he left his seat and walked over to her. At enough of a distance she was pretty but the closer you got to her, she was beautiful. He had never any intention of throwing it back at her but more so especially now. Calum was a sucker for a cute girl. Laying the fry down in front of her he sat down beside her. "I think you might have lost something".

Could this day get any worse? Yes, it could but she couldn't help at least asking herself that as she desperately tried to be invisible. Surely no one actually saw her throw the fry, or if they had they were the people who threw it in the first place. Then they wouldn't really have an excuse to be mad with her seeing as they started it. As childish as that sounded she was still going to go with that argument if they happened to confront her. But she hadn't hit the people who'd thrown it she'd hit some poor bystander. Yet again she returned to the hope that no one had seen her throw the fry.
She shoved her apple with her finger with head bowed and eyes not looking at anyone. Just think invisible, think that she's is just a innocent girl who was enjoying her lunch. Wait she clearly was not enjoying her lunch, so she needed a new thought to project hopelessly. Ah, she was just an innocent, shy girl who needed to blend in. Blend in fade into the background. That was the ticket if she thought invisible thoughts hard enough surely no one would notice it was her. Unless they'd seen her throw it, but it was just a random act in a busy cafeteria. Surely no one saw.
The fry was suddenly appeared in front of her followed by a male voice. Her cheeks burned all the way up to her ears, her eyes were wide, and her throat closed. This was the worst day she'd had in ages. Luck seemed to be avoiding her like the plague. Biting her bottom lip she slowly lifted her head peering out from a veil of black hair. Her jaw almost dropped at the sight before her. A highly attractive boy with some of the most gorgeous hair she'd ever seen was sitting beside her. He didn't look too upset by the fact that he'd just gotten hit in the head with a fry.
"I'm terribly sorry. I was aiming at someone else. They threw it at me, and I threw back. It was childish, and I shouldn't have done it, especially since I have such horrible aim." She was blathering her eyes darting from the fry to the handsome young man. Her hands fiddled nervously with her uneaten apple as she continued her ramblings. "If there's something I can do to make up for it then I will. I really didn't mean to hit you, please don't be overly mad at me. I'd understand if you were somewhat mad because I wasn't too happy to be hit with it. But I see that you're not an rash as I am seeing as you didn't throw it back."
It was like she simply couldn't stop talking her hands were shaking slightly as her mind reeled. He was bound to be a master and he was going to do something horrible to her. Oh, no worse yet he'd tell her master! Then her master would be mad, and all her work would be for nothing! For a girl who tried to best think logically sure did fail at it.

Calum had seen just a mass of raven hair as he approached the table as if the girl was making sure she would not be blamed for the throwing of the fry. A smile was never far from his lips but now he tried his best to keep completely serious, even if it meant biting his lip to prevent himself from chuckling. Placing the fry on the table had obviously startled her, the girl was quite literally peering at him through her hair there was that much of it. He couldn't help but think instantly that she was so damned cute.
She began to speak and didn't once run out of steam, he stared open mouthed at her waiting patiently for the tidal wave of words to cease. Damn but he wanted to stop her talking by kissing her, the urge was tremendous and he swallowed hard to prevent himself from doing anything of the sort. The girl seemed terrified enough without him adding to it. He held up a hand to her, shaking his head slightly.
"Hey slow down there. I'm not mad, seriously. I don't think the starving children all over the world would be too happy with you tossing food around but I'm not mad. I was bored, so thought to return it to you" now he was smiling at her, his natural devastating smile that made enough mistresses and slaves go weak. Shame he barely knew what sort of effect he had on them.
"I'm Calum" he extended a hand to her, hoping that she would take it and not be too shy. Part of him wondered if he'd give her hand back if she did offer it up to shake hands with him, "Everyone calls me Cal. What do people call you?" another question flitted through wondering what he could call her, when he could call her.

During one of the times in which her eyes were darting between the fry and the handsome boy she noticed his expression. He looked shocked? Amazed? He was just sitting there staring at her while there she was going on and on like some fool. Eventually she stopped her blabbering and clamped her mouth firmly shut. He made a small joke and was smiling. At his smile her eyes widened and focused solely on that gorgeous spreading of lips. Unbidden her hand started to reach to touch such a lovely thing. She'd had such a horrible day, horrible couples days actually that such a smile caught her off guard. Why was he smiling?
He spoke again and her eyes snapped up to his knowing how rude she was being. From rambling to blatantly staring at his mouth she was acting a complete idiot! "Calum, a firm name." She mumbled eyes drifting back down to the smile then down to an extended hand. She'd thrown a fry at him and yet here he was joking, smiling, and being so kind. Dark brown eyes questioning she put her hand in his with a small smile. "People call me Koko. My name is Yuko, but I'm called Koko."
Once again her mind refused to work how she wanted it to, refused to function that the way she was brought up for it to function. She was taught to think logically, to analyze things, situations, and then based on the data collected act accordingly. Most times, like this one, she failed utterly at doing this, which in turn left her parents a little disappointed in her. For she was ruled by her emotions not logic. "You have the most amazing smile I have ever seen. Did you know that? Why am I asking that surely you know that. It's just that it's utterly captivating." As she said this her eyes drifted to it her smile spreading. Best thing to happen to her all day to be sure.
((ooc. sorry so short >.<))

Calum couldn't take his eyes off of her, there were plenty of girls like that about the school but why did he feel something different here like he wanted to get her out of the school, take her far away and leave this hell hole of a town far behind them. It was a mad notion and one he had never had before. Looking at her he couldn't help but laugh lightly as he referred to his name as being firm. Her own was peculiar but he liked it and for some insane reason his mind through their names together, Calum and KoKo, Koko and Cal. Shaking his head slightly he frowned as he regarded her, as if she had put some kind of enchantment on him or something.
Her hand found it's way into his, a small delicate thing lost inside the expanse of his own. His long strong fingers curled over hers as if wanting to keep her hand firmly in his, not wanting to release it ever. Calum could not help but chuckle when she commented on his smile as once again he stared in wonder at her. His other hand reached out and tentatively moved some hair from before her face so he could see her better.
She was so beautiful yet like no girl he had seen before. Heavens knew there were plenty of beautiful girls in Creighton, all the mistresses were positively stunning and he had his pick of many though his mistress Sasha had put the kobash on any sexual activity except for her. He wondered was this the reason he was so clued into her now? Why he found most girls damned near a turn on just by standing close to them? He didn't have sex every night or day with his mistress so maybe it was just pent up frustration that was making him imagine all sorts of possible things with this girl.
Hastily he retracted his hand from her face, tempting as it was to touch it, to brush his thumb against her lips. At the thought of them his eyes locked immediately. He felt drawn to that perfect rosebud mouth, knowing now he wanted to kiss her and badly. Blinking himself out of his reverie he looked at her and smiled, noticing her eyes seemed intent on his own mouth. Another glance and he noticed that their hands were still holding each others. He had not even noticed that, it had felt so comfortable as if hers were merely an extension of his own.
"Do you have any classes now?" a stupid question but he wanted to get her out of here, far away to anywhere, " we could go for a ride on my bike" finally he let go of her hand though damn reluctant to do so. ooc: never worry about size of your posts with me, once you give me something to work with, I'm good

He was still staring at her though at least now his jaw wasn't hanging open. But why was he staring so much? Wait maybe he wasn't staring he was merely looking. They were technically having a conversation after all and it was only polite to face the person you were talking with. Though there was a lot of time not spent talking and merely staring. Maybe he was waiting for her to say something? but what should she say? Between the staring, her being lost in his smile, and now her hand was in his things were rather out of sorts. She was definitely not used to being in such a situation. A devilishly handsome boy was holding her hand.
Wait, a boy was holding her hand. Her eyes drifted down from the smile for a minute or so taking in the situation fully. He must not realize that they were not just shaking hands anymore in a simple greeting. Or maybe he did? This was all far too confusing and far out of her comfort zone. So instead of removing her hand from his she sat there amazed at how her fingers could barely be seen in his large warm hand. As she stared at their hands she felt fingers brush her face as some hair was moved. Her eyes lifted to find his and that was that. Her mind was gone any attempts at logic was lost.
He dropped his hand and she blinked seeming to come out of a fog, and she noticed his smile once more. Again her eyes dropped to his mouth because it was just a wonderful smile. She smiled quite often and knew a little about smiles, so seeing one such as his made her smile in return. This was nice the hands, the smiles, everything made her skin tingle, and heart flutter. Something like this just did not happen to her. For one she tended to stay to herself, quiet shy, and also most people seemed rather wrapped up in the slave master thing. Words were coming from somewhere, no they were coming out of the mouth she was staring at.
With her free hand she tucked hair behind the other ear that he hadn't taken care of. "At the moment no, but after lunch I have history." He took back his hand and somehow she felt like it was her fault. She bit her bottom lip pulling her now warm hand in toward her body. "I've read ahead in that class anyway, I guess I could take a short ride?" Her smile was a bit shaky but it was still a smile. A ride on a motorcycle? She'd never even been near a motorcycle let alone ride one. They were loud and somewhat scary to her, but she felt like she couldn't say no.

It seemed as if both were intent on simply looking at the other, smiling at one another as if they did this all the time. He could not understand why he simply sat holding her hand as long as he had and he could not understand why he had the urge to move some of her hair and had actually acted on it. It was not something he ordinarily did unless of course he was intent on hooking up with a girl but he knew that wasn't the case here. He had no ulterior motive, so why he asked himself did you ask her for a ride on your bike?
As the seconds ticked by, turning to minutes she mentioned a class but that she would like a short ride. He could not help but smile again at her then looked at his own watch. "I tell you what, I have biology now so how about we both go to our classes and after that, meet me around the West side of the school near the bike sheds. My Indian is parked just beside them. I'm free for the afternoon we could go to the lake maybe?" why was he asking her this?
Again his hand wanted nothing more than to reach out and touch her, to make sure she was not some kind of mirage. The bell for the next class peeled loud and clear and slowly he stood up looking at her the entire time. "By the bike sheds, I'll be waiting Koko" he grinned broadly at her before winking and heading off to class. A mistress stopped him half way turning her head to glare at the girl he had been sitting with as she draped a well manicured hand around his shoulders and began to press herself against him.
Calum laughed kissed the top of her head then peeled her from him, he mentioned he had a class before heading out of the cafeteria but not before glancing back over his shoulder to Koko. A smile still on his face because of her and no one else.

As he spoke she felt her mind losing track of exactly what was happening. For one she had no idea where west was, another was what in the world was an Indian? He had a Native American waiting outside? Or was it a resident of India? She was assuming they were meeting after school now, and she went through her head to think if she needed to go to her master's. As far as she could remember she didn't have to, but if he needed her he could always call her. Though a whole afternoon spent with a boy? A boy she'd just met? That was mind blowing in itself, and all from throwing a french fry at him. "Um, sure!"
What else was she supposed to say? In her mind there was no other answer to give. Sure she'd have to call her mom to let her know, and sure she'd have homework to do. But she could always do it later that night. Besides when one a girl like her given a chance to hang out with a guy like that? Her wretched day was actually turning around. As he started to leave she stood her smile finally kicking into full gear. Her eyes were bright and clear and happy, all of which matched her now bright and warm smile. Wait, bike sheds? She blinked in confusion but her confusion melted when he spoke her name.
With a slight giggle at the name and wink she snatched up her things to get ready to go herself. She caught the glare of the girl clinging on him and her stomach instantly turned sour. The kiss on the head, the pressing, she kept smiling. Once he was out of sight her head bowed her smile gone. Off she shuffled to class where she found her seat without looking, and barely even remembered to take notes. He obviously had a girl friend, and he was just being nice. Or worse he was that kind of guy only she was gullible enough to believe in such a sweet smile. The bell rang and she sat there staring at her near empty page of notes until the teacher came over to ask if she was alright. She blushed, bowed, and mumbled a quick, "I'm alright, no worries." Then rushed out the door bag in tow.
In minutes she was outside and debating on just not even trying to find the bike sheds. After texting her mother that she wouldn't be home till late tonight she headed toward a group of small building like structures that she could only hope were the bike sheds. Head down she wasn't paying a bit of attention to what she was doing, or heading. Which is never a good thing, especially with her horrible luck. She smacked right into a body and went tumbling backwards.

The day seemed to drag now, he could not understand himself why he so desperately wanted the entire class to rush on so he could get out to his bike. Callum wondered briefly if she would be there, would she bother? What if she changed her mind, it was a girls perogative after all and she would be quite in her rights to do so. He had no claim on her though he knew without a doubt that he wanted to claim her. Again the feeling of wanting to be a master and have the pleasure of having whatever slave he wanted came to mind but he didn't want it now like that, not for Koko. He wanted her to be his friend, to have no allegiance to anyone else. He wanted if he was totally honest with himself to be her boyfriend. This was crazy and he knew it. Running his hand through his hair he sighed, where had that come from?
At last the bell rang loudly and the classroom seemed to empty rapidly as he gathered his books together and headed out of the class. Typical that the teacher chose that particular class to call him back and speak to him about the fact that he had not handed up any assignment now if almost two weeks. Callum attempted to explain about his mistress and a whole bunch of other things but stopped before he had even begun. What was the point? So he merely shrugged and told him that he'd make up for all of them. He'd have every single assignment handed in by the end of the week. Desperate to just get out of the classroom and get to where his bike was parked, meant he would have promised anything at that moment.
Finally racing along he saw her and ran towards her. He was not in the slightest bit surprised that she smacked into someone especially when she didn't seem to be paying attention to anything or anyone. Watching her tumbling backwards he was there in a heart beat and catching her effortlessly, guiding her back upright as his hands gripped her waist.
"You ok?" his mouth just at her left ear, he spoke softly and with concern deeply evident in his tone. Walking around he glared at the boy who she had collided with, he made a hasty apology before scampering off. Callum's hand reached out for hers again as if it was the most natural thing for him to do. "Koko? are you ok?"

Why was she even bothering to meet him he had a girl friend. She had even glared at her! It was not against any rules for her to sit and talk to someone, and for that someone to smile at her. That was not against the rules, and it also wasn't against any rule to be friends with an extremely cute boy. She shook her head knowing that she was just giving herself an excuse to go hang out with him. When in truth she felt like she was helping him cheat on his girl friend. It wasn't cheating!
Sighing and not thinking where she was going she had smacked into someone. Arms wrapped around her as she went flying backwards. She had closed her eyes not wanting to see the blood when her hands hit the cement. But instead strong arms had encircled her waist and steadied her. Eyes flying open she stood somewhat awkwardly as a soft voice drifted into her ear. Her brain instantly stopped working as she recognized that voice and knew whose arms were now around her. No words could come out as she twisted to see if she was right in her guess. As he walked around she slowly followed him with her eyes. This was not happening, it was like some knight in shining armor moment girls dream about.
He spoke again and her eyes went down to the hand outreached for hers. She slipped her hand easily into his still slightly frazzled from what just happened. Shaking her head she tried to clear her head. "Yes, I am alright. Just thrown off a bit." Adrenaline coursed through her veins as she lifted her head a smile now in place. "Thank you for catching me. I guess I still need to learn to look where I'm going." Her cheeks burned a bit and her heart was racing, but she wasn't hurt and she was holding hands with him for the second time that day.
"Am I dreaming? I mean stuff like this just doesn't happen." She lifted her free hand to touch her temple she felt awake but chivalrous knights just don't exist. Smiling she raised her eyes to his, but maybe now they do.
